Richard “Stewart” Miller, Jr. is the newest attorney at King Cunningham. Stewart initially moved to the Grand Strand in the Spring of 2014 to clerk for the Honorable Cynthia Graham Howe, Master in Equity for Horry County, until joining the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2015. In addition to practicing in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, timeshare development, zoning, and corporate and business law, he also represents several Homeowner’s Associations and handles judicial foreclosures and estate work at King Cunningham.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina but raised in Georgia, Stewart followed his family back to South Carolina in 2006 to attend the University of South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2010. Immediately following undergraduate, Stewart attended the Charleston School of Law where he was a Merit Scholar and earned accommodations for his pro bono work in the Charleston community. While in law school, Stewart also received two CALI awards for academic excellence in Criminal and Administrative Law. Stewart graduated law school in May of 2013 and became a licensed South Carolina attorney that same year. He is currently a member of both the South Carolina and Horry County Bar Associations.
Outside of work, Stewart is an avid fisherman, golf enthusiast, and supporter of Gamecock athletics. He also enjoys cooking and playing music.
